Natural Wreaths for Birds and Bees
If you love watching the birds outside your window, this is the perfect DIY project for the season! As the weather gets cooler, our fine feathered friends have a harder time finding enough to eat so that makes fall and winter the perfect time to create a natural wreath of seeds, fruits and berries to hang outside your home. Wreaths are an awesome way to celebrate the change of seasons and the perfect snack stop for all kinds of birds and bees. They are fun to make, beautiful to look at it and they make great gifts for the holidays. And best yet, the birds will appreciate the home-made treats even more than you do!
Pan-wreath recipe:
Materials:
1 pack plain gelatin
½ cup warm water
1 cup flour
4 tbsp corn syrup
3 cups birdseed
Directions:
After mixing the gelatin and water together, add the flour and corn syrup. Finally, mix in the bird seed.
Press the mixture into a Bundt pan that has been sprayed or oiled to prevent sticking and allow it to set for 24 hours.
Optional: Line the pan with slices of oranges, berries or other treats enjoyed by birds.
