Scrumptious Chunky Salsa
Got a ton of tomatoes ripening on the vines? Pick a few and get chopping with this quick and easy recipe for a crunchy, spicy salsa to celebrate the end-of-season flavors from your garden or local farmers market.
Tom and Jackie’s Chunky Salsa
Ingredients:
6 - 8 tomatoes
1 sweet yellow onion
1 large bunch fresh cilantro
Juice of 3 limes (or 3 tbsp bottled lime juice)
Pepper sauce to taste OR fresh diced peppers, such as jalapeños to taste
Salt to taste
Directions:
Chop tomatoes and place in a bowl.
Chop onion and add to the tomatoes.
Chop cilantro and add to tomato/onion mixture.
Add pepper sauce or chopped peppers to taste.
Squeeze in lime juice.
Add salt to taste.
Mix and serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
